The violent take it by force

Journal entry - 21 May 2017

I recently began a study of the Spanish Christian Saint Theresa of Avila, whose depiction of the Kingdom of God amidst the symbology of an Interior Castle has long allured me. ( I refer to her book by the same name ' The Interior Castle' )

A quote from her book seems to have held me the moment I heard it.... Like a bell that has been struck and continues to toll long after it has sounded, it returns to my remembrance.

In her book on her life story, St Theresa shares this potent thought,
" When I took to the habit, the Lord immediately showed me how He favours those who do violence to themselves in order to serve Him. No one saw what I endured ...At the moment of my entrance into this new state, I felt a joy so great that it has never failed me even to this day; and God converted the dryness of my soul into a very great tenderness."

He favours those who do violence to themselves in order to serve Him.... how those words call to me as if to remind me of their truth.

Indeed He has no interest in those who are lukewarm.... or moderate.

He wants the Believer who is Stunningly Brilliantly HOT :)

The one who hears a Word from Him and as terrifying as complete surrender may sound at the time, plunges wholeheartedly into obedience of His Word.

Yes .... Kingdom of God has indeed suffered great violence ... and in these last days, the Lord's saints stand in their full authority.

No longer silently suffering the enemy's attacks, but now on the OFFENCE. Aggressively, wielding the authority the Lord has given us and bringing to a halt the enemy's attack.

The time has come to redeem all that belongs to the Lord Jesus. Yes it is time for the violent ( violently faithful that is!) to take back the Kingdom by force.

In my own life I have observed how seasons of great focus and intensity devoted to the Lord have borne immense Great Fruit. It took a lot out of me to give myself so completely, including a need for much self-discipline.... but it opened me up to experience so much more of Him.

This is the violence I speak of ...  A great passion for Yeshua!

For I speak of the violently faithful... the burning ones who are willing to be pushed and challenged. Those who will take risks to obey His commands and hence delve deeper into Him.

And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.~ Matthews 11:12
